What are your favorite family traditions?
Actually, we don't have any kind of holidays in Vietnam. We just celebrate New Year's Day and we usually follow the Lunar calendar. In this celebration, every people usually do a general cleaning. Our family usually gather and have a feast with the traditional food. The thing that I love about this celebration is the lucky money. This is a small envelope that has money inside in which we can use for buying what we like. This is one of the most memorable celebrations in my country because we will be able to see all our family members and relatives.
Have you thought about what career or job you want to have?
I used to like studying abroad. As a matter a fact, I joined an English camp in Baguio City, Philippines last year and stayed there for 4 weeks to improve my English communication skills. Recently, my mother mentioned about Switzerland. She said that I should study HRM (Hotel and Restaurant Management) in that country because they offer a high quality education and I think it's better for me. I believe that the hotel management business will develop in the future and it is my dream to own a hotel and earn more money to support my needs and family.
What subjects in school do you enjoy learning about?
I am a kind of person who likes studying Literature, Mathematics, Chemistry and English. My mother influenced me to study more in literature because she has a lot of knowledge about it and my father is very good in Mathematics. I also like Chemistry and English for the fact that I always love to calculate formulas and to communicate. I believe that the knowledge that I have in those subjects will be useful for me in the future and it will help me to become a better person.
Do other students in school cheat on their tests or assignments? What do you think?
In Vietnam, we cheat a lot. I mean, most of the high school students cheat a lot in their classes because they sometimes forget to study or answer assignments, that is why they sometimes copy. However, some of them try to study and answer all the equations without copying answers from others. I think this is a normal situation as a student because we sometimes need to be reminded about the information that we forget.The only thing that I can advise to students who like cheating is to cheat wisely.
